The Astonishing Cost Of Government Regulations

Dr. Ben Carson put a number on it: he says last year there were 81,000 pages of new regulations. The cost to the country of all the regulations is $2 TRILLION per year.

The US has spent $19 TRILLION on the “fight against poverty” over the past few decades. Result: we now have a record 48 million people on food stamps (cards).

The government has made all these people “welfare addicts.” You don’t have to work. Just wait for the checks from Washington to arrive each week. Denmark went down that road. Five years of unemployment checks. What happened? Unemployment continued to rise. So they tried something new. They cut it to four years. Unemployment dropped. Then they cut the benefit again to 3 years. Unemployment dropped again. See the trend?
