The TSA spent $160 million on the new body scanners at the airports that make us feel so secure.
But in tests, where the systems were tested with teams of people going through the check with simulated explosives, 95% were missed by the TSA check.
That’s what citizens get for their tax money.
According to the Huffington Post, Michael Chertoff, former head of Homeland Security, formed his private consulting firm, The Chertoff Group, immediately when he left office.
“He has seats on the boards of giant defense and security firms, he sits at the heart of the giant security nexus created in the wake of 9/11, in effect creating a shadow homeland security agency. Chertoff launched his firm just days after President Barack Obama took office, eventually recruiting at least 11 top officials from the Department of Homeland Security, as well as former CIA director General Michael Hayden and other top military brass and security officials.”
It is reported that he got Homeland Security to buy billions of dollars of airport body scanners from his firm.
And that’s why the politicians spend hundreds of millions of dollars to get elected to a job that pays $175,000.
